WHO WE ARE.

Asmar Akman opened the Worcester, MA location after moving to Worcester from Manhattan, NY on Sept 20th 2005. Asmar is a graduate of Hofstra University (Long Island, NY) with a B.B.A in Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Methods. He has been designing jewelry since working for his family's jewelry store, New York Jewelers (established 1980). Asmar is educated in all aspects of the Jewelry industry, with a concentration in DIAMOND GRADING, DIAMOND SETTING and CUSTOM DESIGN WORK.

Sabri Akman opened New York Jewelers, located at 330 Main St Worcester, MA in 1980. He and his wife, Meryem, successfully owned and operated the Jewelry Store for 32 years. Sabri is a MASTER JEWELER & DIAMOND GRADER. In fall of 2005, New York Jewelers merged with Pleasant Pawn & Jewelry and is now located at 334 Pleasant St in Worcester. Sabri and Meryem do work with there son Asmar and can be made available to there clientele on a daily basis.
